Creedy and Kalb, both of the Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research at the U. of Melbourne, describe behavioral tax microsimulation methods and review the use of those models for evaluating text policy reforms. The authors address topics related to interpreting results from microsimulation, such as welfare measurements, income distribution, confidence intervals around the simulated results and feedback effects on the wage distribution via labor demand. The approaches and proposed methods are not model-specific.
