본 연구는 퇴소를 앞둔 아동양육시설 청소년들이 시설입소로 인해 경험한 부모 분리와 시설입소 생활이후 다시 시설 퇴소를 앞둔 상황에서 재분리 준비 경험은 어떠한지 깊이 있게 탐색하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 연구를 위해 퇴소를 1-2년 정도 앞두고 있는 아동양육시설의 청소년 5명을 연구 참여자로 선정하여 인터뷰 하였고, 질적 사례연구방법을 활용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 아동양육시설청소년들은 자신의 의지와는 아무런 상관없이 부모들에 의해 부모 분리를 경험하며 시설에 입소하게된다. 이후 부모와 헤어져 시설에서 길고 긴 사춘기를 겪고 성장하면서, 시설 퇴소를 앞두게 되었다. 이러한 시설로부터의 재분리 준비는 부모 분리와는 전혀 다른 두근거리는 걱정과 설렘을 주었고, 미래에 대한 바람과 희망을 품게 하는 소중한 경험임을 드러내 주었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 퇴소를앞 둔 아동양육시설 청소년들을 지원하기 위한 사회복지적 함의를 제시하였다. The purpose of this study was to understand the experiences of adolescentwho are scheduled to discharge from child care institution. Data was gatheredfrom 5 adolescent who are scheduled to discharge from child care institutionwithin 1-2 years and qualitative case study used for data analysis. The analysisshowed that adolescents of child care institution experienced separation fromtheir parents and entered the institution with no consideration of their feelings. Then, they stayed in the institution for many years, even throughout theirteenager-years, before they are released from the institution. Although feelingsthey experience of separation from the institution included worry and tension,those feelings were different from feelings they received from separation fromtheir parents in a way that the former was more hopeful and future forwarding. Based on these findings, services sensitive to adolescent who are scheduled todischarge from the institution are suggested.
