결혼이민자들은 한국사회에서 새로이 사회관계망을 구축해야 하는 부담을 가지므로 사회자본이 상대적으로 취약할 수밖에 없으며, 이는 자녀양육과정상의 어려움과 관련성을 가진다. 본 연구는 사회자본이 여성결혼이민자들의 양육참여와 양육효능감에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 구체적으로, 구조방정식모형을 통해 가정내 사회자본과 가정외 사회자본이 여성결혼이민자의 양육효능감에 미치는 영향을 양육참여의 매개효과 분석을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 연구대상자는 경기교육복지패널 1차년도 자료를 활용하여 경기도 지역에 거주하는 459명의 여성결혼이민자를 대상으로 하였다. 매개효과의 분석을 위해매개변인인 양육참여를 제외한 주효과모형과 투입한 매개효과모형을 비교하고 부트스트래핑 분석을 수행하여 매개효과의 유의성을 검증하였다. 분석결과, 가정외 가정내 사회자본은 양육참여에 유의미한영향을 미쳤으며 양육참여가 양육효능감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 양육참여가 매개변인으로 설정된 모형에서 가정외, 가정내 사회자본은 양육효능감에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로나타나 양육참여가 이들간의 관계를 완전매개하는 것으로 나타났다. This study investigated the impact of social capital on married immigrantwomen's parenting, specifically focusing on the mediating effect of parentingparticipation. Using structural equation modeling, social capital within andoutside of the family were examined in their relations to parenting efficacy, andthe mediating effect of parenting participation was analysed. Study participantswere 459 immigrant women from the Gyeonggi Education Welfare Panel(2011),who had children in 5th and 6th grades of elementary school. Findingssuggested that social capital within and outside of the family had significantimpact on parenting participation, which in turn affected parenting efficacy. Direct effects of social capital on parenting efficacy were not statisticallysignificant, indicating a full mediation effect of parenting participation. Implications for social work practice and social policy for this population arediscussed.
