본 연구는 독립변수인 유아의 유치원적응에 유아들을 담당하고 있는 교사의 지지가 어떠한 영향요인으로 작용하고 있는지 파악하기 위한 연구이다. 연구는 수도권에 위치하고 있는 유치원에 있는 177명의 유아를 설문대상으로 실시하였다. 설문이 실시되기 이전에 예비조사를 진행하였고, 2015년 8월부터 교사의 도움을 받아 본 조사가 실행되었다. 분석결과, 가족스트레스는 유치원 적응에 부적 요인으로 작용하고 있으나, 교사의 지지가 높을수록(β=.614, pqqqlt;0.01), 유치원에서의 생활에 잘 적응하고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 이에 교사는 유치원 내에서 유아에게 적응을 잘할 수 있도록 적극적인 지지를 제공할 필요성이 있다. 교사 지지의 하위변인은 네 가지로 구분되는데 우선 정서적 지지로서, 긍정적인 정서적 표현을 많이 하는 것이 필요하다. 긍정적 표현은 유아로 하여금 교사와의 따뜻한 정서적 관계를 맺게 되어 유치원 적응에 긍정적으로 작용될 수 있다. 둘째는 정보적 지지로서 교사는 유아로 하여금 적절한 정보를 제공함으로서 유치원에 적응하도록 해야 할 것이다. 세 번째 하위변인은 물질적 지지인데 교사들은 기본적인 욕구인 식사나 간식에 대한 적절한 제공이나 선호하는 장난감을 지원함으로써 유치원에서의 적응이 잘 이루어지도록 유도해야할 것이다. 또한 유아를 대상으로 하는 교사의 칭찬과 인정, 또래 유아와의 갈등관계에서 공정한 평가 등도 유치원적응에 영향을 주는 변인이므로 이를 제공해줌으로써 유아로 하여금 유치원에 긍정적으로 적응할 수 있도록 해야 할 것이다. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of teachers' support on kindergarteners. The participants in this study are 177 children attending a kindergarten in Gyeonggi Province. Before the survey was conducted a pilot study was carried out beginning in August 2015 with the help of teachers. The study results show that although children experiencing stress because of their family have a hard time adapting in kindergarten, if the teacher is supportive, those children are able to adapt to kindergarten well(β=.614, pqqqlt;0.01). Kindergarten teachers need to provide active support to help children adjust well to kindergarten. A teacher's support is divided into four types of support. First, a teacher’s emotional support and positivity can be effective. Positive expression, which can lead to a child’s warm emotional relationship with their kindergarten teacher, can be positive for the child’s adjustment. Second, teachers, can give support by providing appropriate information on adapting to kindergarten. Third, material support entails providing appropriate meals and snacks as well as toys after considering students’ needs and preferences. Teachers also encourages their students by supporting praise, recognition, fair evaluation so he or she can adapt to kindergarten.
