본 연구는 베이비부머를 대상으로 생산적 활동과 성공적 노화의 인과관계에서 이들 간의 성격특성과 행복감의 매개효과를 분석하였다. 이를 위해서 D시에 거주하는 1955년부터 1963년까지 출생한 베이비부머 318명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 베이비부머의 생산적 활동, 성공적 노화, 성격특성, 행복감을 측정하였다. 본 연구의 매개효과 검증을 위해 신뢰도, 기술통계, 상관계수, 구조방정식 모형분석을 실시하였고, 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 생산적 활동이 성공적 노화에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 생산적 활동과 성공적 노화 관계에서 성격특성의 매개효과가 유의미하게 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 베이비부머의 성공적 노화가 가능하도록 생산적 활동과 성격특성 및 행복감을 높일 수 있는 방안을 모색하였다. This study was analyzed the mediating effects of personality traits and happiness in the relationship between the productive activities and successful aging in baby boomers. For this purpose, a questionnaire survey was conducted on 318 baby boomers (born in 1955~1963) living in D city and their productive activities, successful aging, personality traits, and happiness were measured. In order to verify the mediating effects of this study, we conducted a analysis of the reliability, descriptive statistics, correlation coefficient, structural equation model. The results of this study was as follows. First, productive activity has a significant effect on successful aging. Second, the relationship between productive activities and successful aging was significant in the mediating effect of personality traits. Based on the result of this study, we tried to find way to increase productivity, personality traits, and happiness so that baby boomers in enable to successful aging.
