본 논문은 2009년 쌍용자동차에서 정리해고를 당한 후 현재까지 복직하지 못한 해고자들의지난 6년간의 소득, 직장 및 배우자의 직업, 사회적 안전망의 경험, 그리고 마지막으로 사회경제적 계층인식의 변화를 분석하였다. 이를 통하여, 한국 이중노동시장에서 소위 ‘내부자’ 로 분류되었던 제조업중심 대기업에서의 정규직 노동자가 해고 이후 어떻게 사회경제적 지위가 변화하는지 분석한다. 연구대상은 2009년 사측의 정리해고로 해고된 이후 현재까지 복직하지 못한 전체 쌍용자동차 해고자 187명을 대상으로 직접설문 및 온라인설문을 실시하여 142명이 응답하였으며, 그 중 해고 이전에 정규직 노동자였으며 지난 6년간 노동시장에서 취업경험이 있는 116명을 대상으로 한 자료를 분석하여 연구가 진행되었다. 본 연구는, 이중노동시장의 내부자로 간주되는 제조업부문 대기업의 정규직 노동자가 해고 이후 어떻게 미끄럼틀식 사회경제적 추락을 경험하는지 구체적으로 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 적극적노동시장 정책을 포함한 한국 고용보험이 한국 이중노동시장에서 가지는 한계를 논한다 This study examines the changes in income level and occupation for the last 6 years among those who are still unemployed after having been dismissed from the Ssangyong Motors Company in 2009. So far, regular workers who work for a large manufacturing enterprises have been categorized as ‘insiders’ of a dual labor market in Korea. This paper suggests, however, how the socioeconomic status of the regular workers immediately have been changed after the 2009 redundancy. We surveyed 187 layoff workers who are still not re-employed and tracked their social economic status. We discuss on the limitation in employment protection insurance and active labour market policy in Korean dual labour market structure.
