초록
[영문]Employees from two academic colleges were randomly assigned to a staged-based and a social-cognitive theory based physical activity intervention. Both consisted of self-help booklets 12 to 16 pages in length and had minimal contact. Of the 366 who signed up, 208 completed both the initial and follow-up assessments on motivational readiness for physical activity, physical activity participation, exercise-related processes of change, decisional balance, self-efficacy, outcome expectancy, and goal satisfaction. At baseline, only 2 people were in precontemplation, and 25 people (12%) were in contemplation, so the study was not a good test of these programs in early stages of motivational readiness. Among the participants not maintenance, 34.9% in the staged matched and 33.9% in the social-cognitive group progressed to a higher stage of motivational readiness. There were no significant differences between the groups on other measures.
