Employer Coverage of Clinical Preventive Services in the United States /

[영문]A national survey was given to characterize the availability of clinical preventive services to employees of 2180 U.S. private and government employers as a function of health plan type and employer size (21% response rate). Over 90% of employers indicated that increased productivity and decreased healthcare costs were important reasons to support clinical preventive services. Health insurance coverage of physical examinations, immunizations, and screening usually exceeded 50%, whereas coverage of lifestyle modification was less than 20%. Only 41% offered clinical preventive services at the worksite and only 4% provided an ?optimal? benefit. Relative to their priority ranking in terms of overall impact and value in prevention, alcohol-problem prevention, flu vaccination, and tobacco cessation services were available less than recommended, whereas breast cancer screening was higher.
