[영문]Medicare beneficiaries living independently but needing help for at least two activities of daily living or three instrumental activities of daily living and receiving medical care in the last year were recruited by the primary care physician and randomly assigned to a 22-month health promotion intervention (n = 218) or control (n = 234) condition. The intervention included patient education, health promotion coaching, medication management, and physician care management. The level of disability score increased by .24 in the intervention group and .50 in the control group. This positive effect was experienced only by those in the normal weight category.
