초록
[영문]Tens of years ago, art was art but therapy was a part of medicine. But recently as we see similar cases in many areas, those two parties get along as a cooperation. Playing music in the background while we are working, seemingly unaware of the music itself, has been found to reduce the stress. Music was found to reduce heart rates and to promote higher body temperature - an indication of the onset of relaxation. Combining music with relaxation therapy was more effective than doing relaxation therapy alone. In this study, we also practiced experiment of art therapy program in order to prove its impact on alleviating depression. In our study, as finding out method for psychological stability of the aged persons, we attempted to assess the positive impacts of H-T-P(House-Tree-Person) drawing session, developed by Krammer(1994), on three men and 6 women aged 70 to 92. After applying the group art therapy program, there was a significant difference in the average depression scores of 2.88 for the pre-test and 2.35 for the post-test, reaching a t-score of 2.573(pqqqlt;.05). After applying the group art therapy program, there was significant difference in the total depression score, indicating a significant relief impacts of the program; the maximum difference of total score was -30, resulting from 86 and 56 between the two tests.
