임시근로장애인의 장애등급이 자아존중감에 미치는 영향 - 차별경험의 매개효과를 중심으로(Effect of Different Levels of a Disability to the Self-Esteem of People with a Disability who Work as a Part-time Employee -Focused on the Mediating Effect of Discrimination Experience)

본 연구의 목적은 임시근로장애인을 대상으로 장애등급별 차별경험과 자아존중감 간의 매개효과를 밝힘으로써, 자아존중감에 미치는 영향이 개인적 요인이 아닌 사회환경적 차별임을 인식하고자 한다. 더불어 임시근로 장애인에 대한 차별이 나타나지 않도록 인식을 개선하는 방안 및 긍정적으로 자신을 바라보고 자아존중감을 형성할 수 있도록 정책적 개입 방안에 활용할 수 있는 자료를 제공하고자 한다. 본 연구의 대상은 한국장애인고용패널 5차년도 자료로써 한국장애인고용공단에 등록된 장애인 4,063명 중 임금근로자 중에서 임시근로장애인이라고 응답한 327명을 유의추출하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 독립변수인 장애등급은 종속변수인 자아존중감에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되어, 장애등급이 높을수록 자아존중감이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 장애등급과 자아존중감 간 차별경험의 매개효과 검증에서 2, 3단계 모두 통계적으로 유의미하게 나타나 차별경험은 장애등급과 자아존중감간에 매개효과가 있는 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 연구결과에 기반을 두어 임시근로장애인의 자아존중감을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 제언하였다. The purpose of the study is to recognize that Self-Esteem of the person who has a disability is effected by not individual factors but social environmental discrimination through the research about mediator effect between discrimination experience as disability determined with different levels and self-esteem among people with a disability who work as a part-time employee. Furthermore, this study provides practical data that could be applied for political intervention plan in order to improve discrimination perception in the work field toward people with a disability who have a part-time job and to help them looking on themselves with a positive way and forming higher self-esteem. In this study, 327 people who described themselves as temporary employed people with disabilities were selected with purposive sampling and analyed. They were out of 4,063 people who remarked themselves as an wage worker and registered in Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled by the data of the PSED(Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled) 5th year. According to the analysed result, the different levels of a disability determined as independent variable affects self-esteem of people with a disability as dependent variable significantly and it appears that the more a person with a disability has higher levels of disability determined, the more he/she has lower self-esteem. Because the second and third stages of verification about mediating effect of discrimination experience between different levels of a disability and self-esteem shows statistical significant, this study also confirmed that there was a mediating effect of discrimination experience between different levels of a disability and self-esteem. Based on these findings, the researchers suggested practical and applicable measures to improvement self-esteem of peopole with disability working as a part-time employee in the conclusion section.
