본 연구는 ‘2012년 기업체 장애인 고용실태조사’ 자료를 활용하여 기업체의 장애인 고용 결정에 영향을 미치는 요인을 기업체의 상시근로자 수 규모별로 구분하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 장애인 고용의 가장 중요한 결정요인은 장애인 고용에 대한 기업체의 인식 요인이었다. 기업체의 장애인 고용에 대한 인식이 긍정적일수록 장애인 고용 가능성이 매우 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 이에 따라 ‘장애인 인식개선 교육’을 기업체와 국가기관 및 지방자치단체, ?초?중등교육법?에 따른 학교의 장은 물론 법률에 따른 기관 또는 단체까지 단계적으로 확대해 나갈 필요성을 제언하였다. 그 외 장애인 고용 결정요인으로 기업 조직 특성요인 중에서는 기업체가 소재하고 있는 지역과 업종이, 인적자원관리 요인 중에서는 근로자 채용방법과 주당 근로시간, 근로자 대상 교육훈련 실시 여부 등이 기업의 규모별로 다르게 나타났다. 업무환경 요인에서는 작업환경이 쾌적하지 않을수록, 업무 특성 강도가 낮을수록 장애인 고용 가능성이 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 기업체에 설치된 장애인 편의시설, 부대시설, 보조공학기기는 기업 규모별로 다르게 나타났다. 정책적 요인에서는 기업체가 이용한 사업주 지원 제도 및 채용 지원 서비스가 많을수록 장애인 고용 가능성이 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 경제적 요인에서는 영업 이익이 증가할수록 장애인 고용 가능성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. Using the 2012 Survey on the Employment Conditions of the Disabled in the Business Sector, this study examines the determinants of disability employment in private enterprises by enterprise size. It turns out that the most important determinant is recognition of employment for people with disability in enterprise. The more positive attitude toward disability employment an enterprise has, the more likely it is to hire people with disabilities. Other determinants include the location and business type of an enterprise, recruitment method, weekly work hours, and training for employees whose significance levels vary depending on enterprise size. The study also shows that the less pleasant the work environment is and the lower work intensity is, the more likely disability employment results and that the more an enterprise uses business support services provided by the government and the higher business revenue is, the more likely disability employment results. One of the most important policy implications of this study is a need to increase disability awareness in the business sector. Efforts for raised disability awareness should be also made for all public institutions from elementary schools to government organizations.
