본 연구는 고령장애인의 장애수용이 자살생각에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 사회참여의 매개효과를 중심으로 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해서 경기 및 충청지역의 55세 이상의 고령장애인 318명을 대상으로 눈덩이표집을 통해 자료를 수집하였으며, 분석에 활용하였다. 분석한 결과 고령장애인의 장애수용과 자살생각 간 사회참여의 매개효과 검증에서는 1, 2, 3단계 모두 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났으며, 사회참여는 장애수용과 자살생각 간에 부적(-)매개효과가 있는 것을 확인하였다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 토대로 하여 고령장애인의 장애수용 정도를 높이고, 자살생각을 낮추어 삶의 질을 개선하고자 지역사회 통합적인 사회참여를 높일 수 있는 정책적, 실천적 함의를 제시하였다. This research has purpose of verifying the influence of disability acceptance of older people with disabilities on social participation focusing on mediating effect of suicide ideation. For this, snowball sampling was performed for data collection subject to 318 older people with disabilities in Gyeonggi and Chungcheong region citizens of 55 years old or older. As result of analysis, step 1, 2, and 3 all showed statistical significance in verification of mediating effect of social participation between disability acceptance and suicide ideation of older people with disabilities in which it was confirmed that social participation had negative mediating effect between disability acceptance and suicide ideation. Based on these research results, to increase level of disability acceptance of older people with disabilities, and lower suicide ideation to improve quality of life that could enhance the community integration of social participation in which political and practical implications were suggested for this.
