[영문]A barely audible conversation exists withinsocial work on the diversity of political ideologyamong social workers. Although diversityis a rich area of study in social work, a comprehensiveexploration of social workers’ politicalideologies remains largely absent (Rosenwald, 2004).The assumption that social workers subscribe toliberal economic, social, and moral values prevails,as evidenced in NASW policy statements (NationalAssociation of Social Workers [NASW], 2003), eventhough this assumption has rarely been explicitlyand fully examined. This assumption occurs despitethe NASW Code of Ethics’s inclusion of respectingfellow social workers’ diversity of political belief(NASW). As a result, ideologies of social workersthat differ from liberal political ideology may notbe represented.
