본 연구는 의료패널 자료를 이용하여 교대근무가 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을 확인하여 보았다. 분석에 사용된 자료는 한국의료패널 자료이며, 교대근무여부가 설문에 포함된 2009년과 2011년의 자료를 이용하여 분석을 실시하였다. 의료패널에서 교대근무 여부에 해당하는 표본수는 총 15,015명이었으며, 이중에서 14,322명이 표본으로 분석되었다. 교대근무 여부는 동일 패널이라 하더라도 조사시기에 따라 달라질 수 있으며, 연령, 일자리 유형, 건강보험 여부 등 여러 가지 변수들이 조사시기에 따라 달라질 수 있다. 이러한 특성을 반영하기 위해 본 연구에서는 확률효과모형(random-effect model)을 이용하여 추정하였다. 삶의 질을 대표하는 척도로는 EQ-5D를 사용하였다. 교대근무 이외에 삶의 질에 영향을 주는 변수로는 일반적인 인구통계변수, 의료이용변수, 건강행태 변수 등이 포함되었다. 분석결과 교대근무 여부는 삶의 질에 부정적인 영향을 주고 있었으며, 그 외에도 음주, 수면시간, BMI, 가구소득, 일자리 유형, 성별, 의료이용행태 변수들이 삶의 질에 영향을 주고 있었다. 교대근무 근로자들의 건강유지와 삶의 질을 높이기 위해서는 정기적인 건강검진을 통해 건강상태를 지속적으로 모니터링 하는 것이 필요하다. The purpose of this study was to identify shift-work influencing their quality of life. For data analysis, we used Korea Health Panel 2009 and 2011 for panel analysis, because shift-work questionnaires were included in. Shift-work and other variables like age, working type, having health-care insurance could be different according to survey time in same penal data. So random-effect model were used in performance of data analysis. EQ-5D were used for representing the quality of life. In addition to shift work, independent variables were included general demographic variables, health care utilization variables, health behavior variables as variables affecting the quality of life. The results could be confirmed was giving a negative impact on quality of life whether shift work is or not, in addition to the quality of life was influenced drinking, inpatient experience and household income. These results showed that continuous monitoring of shift workers' health condition through regular physical check-up will be necessary to improve their health and quality of life.
