본 연구는 지체장애인의 자원봉사 참여 행동에 영향을 미치는 요인을 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. Wilson(2012)의 자원봉사과정모델(The Volunteering Process Model)은 선행연구를 망라하여 자원봉사 참여 행동의 선행요인(antecedents), 자원봉사활동 특성, 자원봉사 참여로 인한 성과(consequences)로 구분하여 자원봉사 과정을 이해 할 수 있는 통합적 분석 틀을 제공하고 있다. 특히, 자원봉사 참여 행동의 선행 요인을 자원봉사 참여자의 자산(asset)과 특성을 반영한 인적 자원 요인, 사회적 맥락 요인, 주관적 성향 요인으로 기술하여 자원봉사참여행동에 대한 포괄적인 분석틀로 유용하기에 본 연구의 이론적 틀로 활용하였다. 본 연구는 한국보건사회연구원에서 전국 장애인을 대상으로 실시한 ‘2014년 장애인 실태조사’의 지체장애인 3,451명의 조사 결과를 활용하였으며, 지체장애인의 자원봉사 참여행동에 대한 실증적 검증을 위해 로지스틱 회귀 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과를 살펴보면 장애 관련 변수 중에 일상생활수행능력(ADL)(+), 장애인 직업훈련 참여 여부(+) 변수가 지체장애인의 자원봉사 참여행동에 유의미하게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 장애등급과 장애인에 대한 차별 인식 변수는 유의미한 관계가 나타나지 않았다. 장애 특성을 반영한 변수 외에도 연령, 교육 수준(+), 문화행사참여 총 횟수(+), 친구 수 만족도(+), 여가생활만족도(+), 주관적 계층의식 변수는 비장애인의 자원봉사 참여 행동과 밀접하게 관계가 있는 것과 유사하게 지체장애인의 자원봉사 참여 행동에도 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과는 지체장애인의 자원봉사 참여 행동에 대한 탐색적 연구를 통해 다양한 자원봉사 참여자들의 행동 특성에 대한 학문적 이해를 넓혀주며, 향후 장애인의 자원봉사 참여 촉진과 지역사회에서의 사회 통합을 위한 실천적 함의를 제공함에 그 의의가 있다. This study is to target to understand the effect of The Volunteer Process Model(Wilson, 2012) factors on volunteering behavior of the physically disabled. Specifically, it focuses on how people with physical disabilities participate in a different way depending on the factors such as human resources factors, social context factors and subjective dispositions factors of The Volunteering Process Model(Wilson, 2012). The target population of this study is people with physical disabilities in South Korea. I used a sample from the 2014 national survey of people with disabilities that consists of 3,451 participants with physical disability conducted by Korean Institute for Health and Social Affairs(KIHASA). The findings show that in case of age, education(+), the number of participation cultural events(+), the number of friends satisfaction(+), satisfaction of leisure activities(+) have statistically significant effects on volunteering participation of the physically disabled. In particular, Activities of Daily Living(+) and participation of occupational training(+) for the disable among the variables relating with physical disability are significant with participation of volunteering activities of the physically disabled. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed. This study sheds light on the understanding of the factors of affecting on volunteering participation of people with physical disability.
