본 연구는 사회복지사의 실천평가 지식을 측정하는 도구인 Practice Evaluation Knowledge Scale (PEKS)의 한국어판을 개발하는 데 목적이 있다. PEKS는 이 분야의 유일한 도구로 실천평가 수행에 필요한 교육 정도, 평가 설계에 관한 지식, 평가계획 설계에 관한 지식, 평가결과 식별 능력, 신뢰도와 타당도에 대한 지식, 측정도구에 대한 지식, 자료분석에 대한 지식, 자신의 통계 지식의 유용성을 측정한다. PEKS를 우리말로 번역한 후 총 291명의 사회복지사를 대상으로 평가하였다. 탐색적 요인분석 결과 한국어판 PEKS는 영어판과 같이 단일 차원의 척도로 나타났다. 한국어판 PEKS는 매우 강한 내적 일관성 신뢰도를 보였고, 성별, 학력, 실천평가 관련 과목 수강 횟수, 의료사회복지사 또는 정신보건사회복지사 자격증 소지 유무와 유의미한 관계를 보여 기준관계 타당도를 확보하였다. 마지막으로 한국어판 PEKS의 활용방안을 제시하였다. The purpose of this study is to validate a Korean version of the Practice Evaluation Knowledge Scale (PEKS). PEKS is an instrument measuring being adequately trained to conduct evaluation, being comfortable with knowledge, being able to design evaluation plan, being able to identify an evaluation outcome, being familiar with reliability and validity, being able to locate measures and scales, being comfortable with data analysis techniques, and being usefulness of statistics. Exploratory factor analysis identified that the Korean version of PEKS is a unidimensional scale like its English version. The Korean version of PEKS showed very strong internal consistency reliability and good criterion-related validity. Finally, this study suggests how to use the Korean version of PEKS in both social work education and practice settings.
