본 연구는 청소년기의 직업포부가 단기적으로는 교육성과와 교육성취, 장기적으로는 성인기 이후의 직업 선택과 결정에 중요한 영향을 미친다는 점에 주목하고 있다. 기존의 직업포부 연구들은 횡단적 접근에 국한되거나 일차원적 직업포부 종단연구에 초점을 두었던 한계가 있었다. 이 연구에서는 이러한 한계를 벗어나, 청소년들의 다차원적인 직업포부 변화를 분석하고 이러한 변화에 직업가치가 어떤 영향을 미치는가를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원의 『한국 청소년 패널조사』를 이용하여 진로발달이 급격히 이루어지는 중학교 2학년부터 고등학교 3학년까지 시기를 대상으로 하였다. 분석 결과 청소년들의 직업포부는 남성직업선호형, 혼성직업선호형, 여성직업선호증가형, 여성직업선호감소형, 직업미결정형 등 크게 5가지의 형태로 변화되고 있었다. 더불어 이러한 직업포부의 변화에 있어 청소년기에 직업에 대해 갖고 있는 다양한 가치관이 각기 차등적인 영향을 주고 있음도 확인할 수 있었다. 이를 통해 청소년들의 진로발달과 직업포부 성숙을 위한 정책적 대안의 필요성도 함께 제시하였다. This study aims to investigate how adolescents' occupational aspirations play an important role in their educational achievement and educational outcomes as well as career choices. Previous research has been confined to the cross-sectional approach or one-dimensional longitudinal study in analyzing occupational aspirations. Unlike the previous studies, the purpose of this research is not only to find the multidimensional changing pattern on the adolescents' occupational aspirations, but also to analyze the effects of work values on the changing pattern. The data from Korea Youth Panel Survey(2003-2008) of the Nation Youth Policy Institute was analyzed for this study. The major findings of this study are as follows. First, the subjects were categorized into five sub-group types in terms of their occupational aspirations; preference type on male-typical jobs, preference type on gender-neutral jobs, preference type on male-typical jobs, decreasing type for female-typical job preference, increasing type for female-typical job preference. Second, we found that various work values had effects on the changing pattern of the occupational aspirations. Based on these results, this study suggests policy actions to mature adolescents' career development and the growth of their occupational aspirations.
