본 연구는 보육교사의 정서지능이 보육헌신에 미치는 영향을 가치적합성이 매개하는지 검증하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 전라남도 소재 어린이집에 근무하는 보육교사 450명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 구조방정식모델링을 사용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 첫째 보육교사의 정서지능은 가치적합성에 정(+)적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 보육교사의 정서지능은 보육헌신에 정(+)적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 보육교사의 가치적합성은 보육헌신에 정(+)적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 보육교사의 정서지능과 보육헌신과의 관계에 가치적합성이 유의미한 매개변수임을 검증하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 보육교사의 정서지능 및 보육헌신, 가치적합성 증진을 위한 실천적 함의를 모색하면서 논의하였다. The purpose of this study was to validate whether value relevancy would mediate the effect that the emotional intelligence of childcare center teachers have on childcare dedication. For that, we surveyed 450 childcare center teachers working at daycare centers located in South Jeolla Province. The collected data were analyzed by using structural equation modeling. The results of this study suggested the following: First, the emotional intelligence of childcare center teachers was found to have a positive (+) effect on value relevancy. Second, the emotional intelligence of childcare center teachers was found to have a positive (+) effect on childcare dedication. Third, the value relevancy of childcare center teachers was found to have a positive (+) effect on childcare dedication. Fourth, a multiple regression analysis was conducted to validate the mediating effect of value relevancy on the relationship between the emotional intelligence and childcare dedication in childcare center teachers. Based on the aforesaid results of this study, we explored and discussed practical implications for the promotion of emotional intelligence, childcare dedication, and value relevancy of childcare center teachers.
