본 연구는 다문화 가정 유아의 발달에 관한 연구의 동향을 분석하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 선정한 분석대상은 2014년까지 발표된 유아 및 아동 관련 학술지 논문 63편이었다. 본 논문은 선행연구에 기초하여 선정된 분석기준에 따라 연구시기, 연구주제, 연구대상 그리고 연구유형으로 살펴보았다. 또한 자료 분석은 빈도분석과 다중응답분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 다문화 가정 유아의 발달과 관련한 연구는 연구시기별로 2009년부터 증가된 것으로 나타났다. 연구주제는 다문화 가정 유아의 발달과 관련한 변인 연구가 주로 수행되었다. 또한 연구의 대부분은 유아를 대상으로 하였고, 연구유형은 양적연구이었다. 이러한 연구동향 분석에 기초하여 관련 연구의 활성화, 연구주제의 다양성, 유아 연령 구성 및 다문화 가정 특성 제시, 질적 연구의 필요성에 대해 제안하였다. The purpose of this study was to analyze research trend about development of young children from multicultural families. For this study, a total of 63 articles analysis results of this study were obtained from peer reviewed journals related to young children published by 2014. Those studies were analyzed in terms of research periods, research topics, research participants, and research types. Data analysis were conducted using frequency analysis and multi-responses analysis. According to the analysis, research for the development of young children from multicultural families were gradually increased after 2009. The research topics mainly carried out the variables related to young children’s development. Also, the research participants were mainly young children and the research types were mostly quantitative studies. Based on the results, several implications for future research are suggested in terms of activation of the related study, the diversity of research theme, explanation of the young children’s age structure and multicultural family characteristics, necessity of the qualitative research.
