본 연구는 그림이야기책 안에서 그림조건과 막대인형 조건의 집단 간 유아들의 단어와 문장인식 및 내용이해에서 유의한 차이, 그리고 블룸의 단계별 질문이해에 미치는 영향 및 성별의 차이를 알아보는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 I시에 소재하고 있는 유치원과 어린이집 2곳에 재원 중인 5세 유아 40명을 실험집단과 통제집단으로 나누어 t-검증을 실시하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 그림이야기책 안에서 그림조건보다는 막대인형조건의 유아들이 단어와 문장인식 및 내용이해에서 유의한 차이를 나타내어 그림보다는 인형의 조건이 단서의 실마리로 작용되었음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 그림이야기책 안에서 블룸의 단계별 질문이해를 측정한 결과 그림조건보다는 막대인형조건의 유아들이 블룸의 단계별 질문이해를 증진시켜 유의한 차이를 보여주었다. 셋째, 그림이야기책 안에서 유아들의 성별 차이는 사전검사의 단어인식만 남아보다 여아가 더 높게 나타났음을 볼 수 있었다. 따라서 그림이야기책을 통한 단서조건에 따른 단어, 문장, 그리고 블룸의 단계별 질문이해에 대한 연구는 유아들의 문식성 및 문해능력을 키울 수 있는 모티브가 함축되어 있음이 시사점으로 작용되었다고 볼 수 있다. In this study, we explored and demonstrated the effects of children's words, sentences and content recognition between picture-group and doll-group conditions based on the picture-story books. The difference of word and sentence recognition was investigated between picture-group(a sheet of pictures) and the doll-group(a stick of puppet on a stick)conditions and non-picture/doll conditions based on the picture-story books in 5-year-old children. According to the results, there were significant differences between the picture-group condition and doll-group condition, and it was found that the doll-condition group improved their word, sentence and content recognition. Also, there were significant differences between the picture/doll condition and the non-picture/doll condition, and it was found that the doll-condition group improved in their recognition of the Bloom’s question in the picture-story books. Further, there were significant differences by the children's gender, and it was found that the girls were better in word recognition than the boys for the gender differences.
