본 연구의 목적은 시설 퇴소 청년의 대학생활을 진로준비행동을 중심으로 살펴보는데 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 양육시설에서 생활한 지 2년 이상되고 시설 퇴소 혹은 연장 관계없이 대학에 진학한 시설 퇴소 청년을 대상으로 진로준비행동과 영향요인을 살펴보았다. 전국 양육시설과 자립생활관을 체계적으로 표집한 후, 자립담당 직원과의 전화로 대학에 진학한 시설 퇴소 청년을 소개받아 서베이를 실시하였다. 총 214가 수거·분석되었고 사회적 지지와 자아정체감을 독립변수로 하여 진로준비행동 영향요인에 대한 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 대학에 진학한 시설 퇴소 청년의 진로준비행동 수준은 보통 정도로 나타났다. 또한 진로준비행동에 영향을 미치는 요인은 사회적 지지와 자아정체감으로 나타났는데, 보다 구체적으로 사회적 지지에서는 가족 지지가 자아정체감에서는 미래확신성, 주체성이 진로중비행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 기반으로 대학에 진학한 시설 퇴소 청년의 진로 지도와 관련된 실천적 제안들을 제시하였다. The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of social support, ego-identity on career preparation behavior of undergraduate with institutional care background. The method of this study was the survey of 214 undergraduates who have lived over two years in institution for children. The results of the finding were as follows; First, the level of career preparation behavior was intermediate. Second, social support, especially family support exercised a significant effect on career preparation behavior, Lastly, Ego-Identity, specially 'confidence in future', 'inner-direction' effected significantly on career preparation behavior. Eventually, career counseling to undergraduate with institutional care background was in direct contact with the issue of relations with bio-family. According to this findings, researcher propose the importance of the restoration of bio-family relations.
