본 연구는 발달장애인 당사자가 인식하는 삶의 만족도 정도 및 그 영향요인을 규명하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 경북행복재단에서 실시한 ‘제1차 경상북도 장애인 패널조사(2013): 발달장애인 중심으로’ 자료를 활용하여 발달장애인의 삶의 만족도와 관련된 연구모형을 구성하고, 이를 검증하였다. 첫째, 발달장애인이 인지하는 삶의 만족도는 하루일과에 대한 만족도 3.23, 가족 및 친구관계 만족도 3.26, 전반적 삶에 관한 만족도 3.25로 평균을 약간 윗도는 수치로 나타났다. 둘째, 발달장애인의 전반적 삶에 대한 만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 성별, 장애유형, 연령, 거주지, 여가활동, 대인관계, 일상생활, 경제활동 참여, 서비스 이용이 통계적으로 유의미한 영향력을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 발달장애인의 삶의 만족도를 향상시키기 위한 사회복지적 함의를 제시하고 있다. The purpose of this study was to identify the degree of life satisfaction perceived by people with developmental disabilities and their affecting factors. For this purpose, the study constructed and verified a research model related to life satisfaction of people with developmental disabilities by utilizing data from ‘The 1st Gyeongsangbuk‐do People with Disabilities Panel Research (2013): Focusing on people with developmental disabilities’ performed presented by Gyeongbuk Happiness Foundation. The research model comprised a group of independent variables such as daily life society, social relations, economic and resource application, and a group of dependent variables such as life satisfaction. From the results of this study, as for daily life ability of people with developmental disabilities it was found that most of them managed to live a daily life by themselves and/or with a little help, and that they were together with their family for leisure activities on weekends and holidays. Also, it was found that they were inactive in social relation, economic activity participation, and resource application. Secondly, as for factors affecting the satisfaction degree of their life in general, it was found that there were statistically significant influences of sex, disability type, age, residence, social factor, social relations factor, daily life factor and economic factor. Through this, this study presents a social welfare implication for improving life satisfaction of people with developmental disabilities.
