연구목적: 이 논문의 목적은 사회지능이 장애인 근로자의 임금수준에 유의한 영향을 미치는지를 검증하는데 있다. 만성적인 장애인 근로자의 저임금이 자립을 저해하고 빈곤위험을 높이는 상황에서 사회지능의 향상이 임금수준의 개선에 도움이 될 수 있는지를 살펴보고자 했다. 연구방법: 이를 위해 장애인고용패널 8차 자료(2015년)를 활용하여 요인분석, 신뢰도분석, 상관분석과 다중회귀분석을 실시했다. 연구결과: 분석 결과, 사회지능이 높은 장애인 근로자일수록 높은 임금수준을 향유하는 것으로 나타났다. 사회지능의 긍정적 효과는 다른 변수의 영향력을 통제한 후에도 일반적으로 발견되었다. 결론: 이 논문은 이상의 연구결과를 바탕으로 사회지능의 향상을 장애인 근로자의 능력 향상 차원에서 중요하게 검토해야 한다는 정책적 함의를 제시했다. Purpose: This study aims to examine whether social intelligence has a significant effect on the wage levels of workers with disabilities. As the low wage of workers with chronic disabilities limits their independence, and places those workers at greater risk for poverty, the study explores if enhancing social intelligence can assist workers with disabilities to obtain higher wage levels. Method: Factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analyses were conducted using the data from the 8th Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled (2015). Results: Study revealed that the workers with disabilities with high social intelligence obtained elevated wage levels. The positive effect of social intelligence on wage level was generally discovered even when other variables were controlled. Conclusion: This study suggests that improving social intelligence should be considered for policy implications in the context of increasing abilities of workers with disabilities.
