본 연구는 그림이야기책의 갈등상황에 따른 이야기꾸미기 활동이 유아의 조망수용능력과 언어능력에 미치는 효과를 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 전라북도 J시에 소재한 I유치원에 재원중인 만 5세의 유아 36명을 선정하여 각각 실험집단과 비교집단으로 하였다. 실험집단 유아를 대상으로 그림이야기책의 갈등상황에 따른 이야기꾸미기 활동을 14주 동안 실시하였고 비교집단 유아를 대상으로 실험집단과 동일한 갈등상황이 내포된 그림책을 읽어주었으나 이야기꾸미기는 실시하지 않았다. 연구결과는 첫째, 그림이야기책의 갈등상황에 따른 이야기꾸미기 활동은 유아의 조망수용능력에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 그림이야기책의 갈등상황에 따른 이야기꾸미기 활동은 유아의 언어능력에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 그림이야기책의 갈등상황에 따른 이야기꾸미기 활동이 유아의 조망수용능력과 언어능력 증진을 위한 효과적인 대안이 될 수 있음이 시사점으로 부각되고 있다. In this study, we explore and demonstrate the effects of children’s social perspective-taking and linguistic ability based on story production of picture-story books. The subjects of the study were 36 children at the age of 5 attending a nursery school located in J city, Junrabuk-do, South Korea. The procedure of the study was conducted by story production activities, which were two times for fourteen weeks, and a pretest and a posttest to measure perspective-taking and linguistic ability. The results of the study are as follows. First, children’s perspective-taking scores showed statistically significant differences among the experimental group using the story production of picture-story books and the control group using fairy tale retelling activities. Second, there were statistically significant differences in the experimental group for the linguistic expression among the word production, word connection, sentence expression and story reproduction.
