Joung:

Given how much our society relies on migrant workers, it is high time that we made more active institutional efforts to ensure that they work in healthier and safer conditions as equal members of our society.

Kim:

Some Koreans do seem to have a dislike or fear of immigrants. However, if Korea is to become a more mature society upholding universal human rights, we must learn to open our arms to immigrants, treat them as equals without discrimination, and live in harmony with them. Only then can Korea truly grow into a more advanced and mature nation.

Narrator:

As cross-border migration has become commonplace, it has become increasingly important to ensure that migrant workers have access to social rights, such as improved working conditions and social security coverage. This will enable those who contribute to our society to enjoy a secure and fulfilling life.
