KIHASA and the Korean American Social Work Educators Association held a joint forum at the Convention Center of the Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington DC on January 13 at 12:00 p.m. local time. The joint forum, which addressed various child welfare and mental health issues, began with keynote speeches by Dr. Lee Sang-Jung, Head of the Center for Child and Family Policy Research, KIHASA, and Dr. Jun Jina, Head of the Center for Psychosocial Health Research, KIHASA. Following the keynotes, a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Kim Suk-hee, President of the KASWEA and Professor at Northern Kentucky University, featured contributions from Professor Ahn Hak-soon, the University of Maryland; Dr. Son Hae-in, the City College of New York; and Professor Kim Woo-jong, the Univiersity of Michigan.
