2025 Health and Social Welfare Review Insight Forum

On July 8, KIHASA held the “2025 Health and Social Welfare Review Insight Forum” at the Press Conference Hall of the Korea Press Center. This forum is a rebranded continuation of the “Health and Social Welfare Review Colloquium,” an annual event organized since 2016 by KIHASA’s flagship journal, Health and Social Welfare Review, which has been published since 1981.

The theme of the first Insight Forum was “The Future of Local Health and Welfare Workforces.” The participants examined and discussed the current state of, and policy directions for, the health and welfare sectors, with a focus on workforce issues that have become increasingly critical for super-aged Korea.

The first part of the forum, moderated by KIHASA Research Fellow Bae Jae-yong, featured an awards ceremony for outstanding papers. This was followed by opening remarks from Joo Eun-sun, the Review’s Editor-in-Chief, and congratulatory remarks from KIHASA President Shin Youngseok. The second part of the forum, chaired by Professor Choi Young-joon of Yonsei University, comprised three thematic presentations and discussions.
