독일Abstract
In September 2021, the German for Affairs, Citizens, and Youth issued the Implementation of the Federal Government’s Equal Strategy Measures according to Goals, defining comprehensive plans and specific gender equality policy implementations. In November 2022, the German Federal Parliament began discussing the Federal Ministry’s report on the implementation of the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women. This study examines these publications in order to gain a better understanding of the current state of Germany’s key gender equality programs and to draw out implications for Korea’s gender equality policy.

독일 연방 가족·노인·여성·청소년부는 2021년 9월 「연방정부 성평등 전략의 목표별 이행 현황」을 발표하여 성평등 정책의 상세 전략 및 구체적 이행 현황에 대해 보고하였고, 이를 바탕으로 성평등의 법적 보장 및 실제적 보장을 위해 2030년까지의 계획 또한 적극적으로 추진 중이다. 2022년 11월 독일 연방의회는 연방 가족·노인·여성·청소년부가 유엔 「여성에 관한 모든 형태의 차별 철폐에 대한 협약」의 이행 현황에 대해 작성한 9차 보고서와 관련하여 심의 절차를 진행하였다. 이 글에서는 독일의 주요 성평등 정책의 현황을 파악하기 위해 이러한 보고서들의 내용을 분석하고, 독일의 논의가 한국의 성평등 정책에 시사하는 바를 제시한다.

미국Abstract
Restorative justice has emerged as an approach to address the inequities and other structural problems that the U.S. criminal justice system has been criticized for. Evidence from a diverse range of studies supports the idea that restorative justice can serve as a viable alternative to increase victim satisfaction and reduce recidivism. This article explores how and against what background restorative justice has grown in the U.S. criminal justice system in recent years, examines the use of restorative justice in cases involving domestic violence, and provides an outlook on issues related to its further expansion.

미국 형사 사법 체계의 불평등과 여러 가지 구조적인 문제에 대한 비판에 따라 이 문제를 해결하기 위한 방안으로 회복적 사법이 대두되었다. 다양한 실증적 연구를 통해 회복적 사법이 절차상에서 피해자의 만족도를 높이고, 가해자의 재범을 줄이는 실행 가능한 대안이 될 수 있다는 주장은 더욱 설득력을 얻어가고 있다. 이 글에서는 미국 형사 관련 사법제도 내의 최근 회복적 사법 확대의 배경, 가정 폭력에 대한 회복적 사법의 적용 사례와 회복적 사법의 확대에 따른 쟁점 및 전망을 살펴보고자 한다.
