본 연구의 목적은 중년기 취업여성과 비취업여성의 은퇴기대와 노후준비 수준을 비교?분석하는 데 있다. 이를 위하여 40세 이상 59세 이하의 중년기 여성 328명(취업여성 200명, 비취업여성 128명)을 대상으로 Hornstein & Wapner(1985)의 네 가지 은퇴기대 유형과 경제적·정서적·신체적·사회적 노후준비 수준을 조사하였다. 조사 결과 첫째, 취업여성과 비취업여성 모두 은퇴를 ‘강요된 좌절’로 기대하는 경향이 가장 높았다. 둘째, 취업여성이 비취업여성보다 은퇴를 ‘휴식’, ‘새로운 출발’, ‘강요된 좌절’로 기대하는 경향이 더 높았다. 그러나 ‘삶의 연속’에 대한 기대에서는 차이가 없었다. 셋째, 취업여성은 경제적, 정서적, 사회적, 신체적 노후준비 순으로 높게 나타난 반면, 비취업 여성은 신체적, 정서적, 사회적, 경제적 노후준비 순으로 나타났다. 또 취업여성이 비취업여성보다 경제적·정서적·사회적 노후준비를 더 잘 하고 있는 반면, 신체적 노후준비에서는 두 집단 간에 차이가 없었다. 넷째, 은퇴를 ‘휴식’이나 ‘새로운 출발’, ‘강요된 좌절’ 등 삶에 중요한 변화를 수반하는 사건이나 계기로 기대하는 경향이 높은 집단에서 취업자와 고학력자, 고소득자 비율이 높았으며, 전반적으로 노후준비도 더 높았다. 마지막으로 이상의 연구결과를 토대로 중년기 여성들이 은퇴를 앞두고 체계적으로 은퇴 후 생활을 준비할 수 있도록 다양한 복지 서비스와 교육 프로그램이 마련되어야 하며, 특히 상대적으로 은퇴준비 교육이나 서비스를 받을 기회가 적은 비취업여성들을 위한 다양한 서비스의 개발 및 지원을 제언하였다.;The purpose of this study is to analyze expectation and preparation for retirement of employed and unemployed women in middle age. We survey 328 women in total aged from 40 to 59 (200 employed and 128 unemployed women). The instruments consist of the Retirement Expectation Inventory from Hornstein & Wapner (1985) and the questions on economic, emotional, physical, and social preparation for retirement. The results of this study are as follows: ① The ‘imposed disruption’ is the highest retirement expectation both in employed and unemployed women. ② For ‘rest’, ‘new beginning’, and ‘imposed disruption’, employed women show higher retirement expectation than unemployed women. However, there is no significant difference between two groups for ‘continuation’. ③ Employed women show the highest economic retirement preparation, followed by emotional, social, and physical, while unemployed women show physical, emotional, social, and economic in order. And employed women are better preparing for their retirement in economic, emotional, and social area than unemployed women. But there is no significant difference between two groups in physical retirement preparation. ④ The subgroups that expect retirement more as ‘rest’, ‘new beginning’, or ‘imposed disruption’ are mostly well-prepared for retirement, and composed mainly of employed, highly-educated, and high-income. Finally, we suggest the provision of various welfare services and education programs for middle-aged women, in particular for unemployed women with relatively insufficient opportunities of pre-retirement education or planning service.
본 연구는 베이비부머세대 여성들의 취업계획을 분석하고, 이에 대한 영향요인을 파악하여 이들이 의존적이기 보다는 자율적으로 노후를 살아갈 수 있도록 하기 위한 방안을 모색하고자 하는 데에 연구목적이 있다. 본 연구에서 분석자료는 한국여성가족패널 2차년도 자료가 활용되었으며, 분석방법은 빈도분석, 교차분석 그리고 위계적 이항 로지스틱 회귀분석이 적용되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 베이비부머 세대 여성은 개인적 특성 측면에서는 경제상태가 여유가 없다고 인식할수록 취업계획이 있는 경우가 많았고, 가족요인은 시부모 및 미혼성인자녀에게 사적이전지출이 있는 경우에 취업계획이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 자산요인에서는 시부모나 미성년 자녀에게 생활비를 비롯한 지출이 있는 베이비부머세대 여성이 취업을 계획하고 있었다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 베이비부머세대 여성의 노후준비를 위한 정책적 함의를 제시해보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인 일자리 창출사업에 있어서 베이비부머세대 여성의 특성을 고려한 일자리가 모색되어야 한다. 둘째, 베이비부머 세대 여성의 부양부담을 줄이기 위해 사적이전 지출의 부담을 줄일 수 있는 방안이 강구되어야 할 것이다. 셋째, 기초노령연금과 같은 공적연금제도의 확대를 통해 은퇴 후에도 노인의 소득을 보장할 수 있는 다양한 제도의 검토가 필요하다.;This study aims to examine the determinant factors of work plan of female babyboomers for the aged and to explore the programs for their independent living in their aged life. For this, this study analyzed the second Woman-family-panel survey data and selected the 1718 female babyboomers among the survey objects. Analysis methods were frequency analysis, correlation analysis and hierarchial logistic regression analysis. The results were as below: First, the female babyboomers had work plan for the aged, if they were working at that time of survey and their economic situations were evaluated as low. The female babyboomers with less children had stronger work plan than the other women. The female babyboomers who had to transfer income to family members and savings wanted to work more strong. According to the study results, some supportive policies to increase workplaces and income were suggested in this study.
